Conor McGregor will defend his belt.

Months after Jose Aldo (26-2) took a one-punch knockout from UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, the former champ took time to get comfortable, but when he did, he took it to challenger Frankie Edgar (20-5-1).

Aldo and Edgar traded blows in a technical war, but the former champ absolutely brutalized the New Jersey native's face. Now, Aldo will have an opportunity to avenge his devastating loss with a rematch against McGregor.

McGregor is slated to fight at 170 pounds at UFC 202, then he'll focus on defending his belt against the interim champion, Aldo.

Edgar became the first fighter in UFC history to log six hours of time in the Octagon in his loss.
