Former National Rugby League star Ben Ross took part in what he thought would be a harmless arm-wrestling match for charity in Australia. However, it turned into something much worse when he actually got going with fellow former rugby player Wendell Sailor. Within five second of starting the match, Ross suffered a horrific injury:

As soon as Australia's Nine Network, who was broadcasting the event, understood what happened there was a cut away to advertisements until they figure out what was wrong.

While Ross' official injury has not yet been announced, one of The Footy Show's hosts suggested that it looked like a bicep injury rather than a broken bone. Ross was treated for his injury at a nearby hospital, and was said to be in "good spirits," according to a post on the show's Facebook page.
And Ross' competitor felt terrible about the whole thing and took to Twitter to send his best wishes.
Just like to send some love/well wishes out to @benross23 & his family after the accident on the @NRLFootyShow - sorry Big Ben feel so bad.
