Former WWE IC champ could return as soon as this week

Glad to have him back.

WWE got some good news recently, as former Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper is apparently ready to return to the ring.

According to PWInsider, Harper could return as soon as next week. Harper has been out for six months after suffering an ACL injury back in March. Harper has been a member of the "Wyatt Family" stable, but he has also had success as a single. Harper won the Intercontinental title back in November 2014, holding the title for a month before dropping it to Dolph Ziggler in an epic ladder match.

Where Harper will go in WWE is certainly a question. WWE has been operating with split SmackDown and Raw brands recently, and Harper could conceivably go to either brand. He would most likely go to SmackDown, though, as his former Wyatt Family member Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan are on that show.

Harper will be a much needed return to WWE. He is a good worker in the ring, and his size at 6-foot-6, 280 pounds gives him an impressive look compared to other opponents.
