Former WWE main event talent officially released

Sad to see him go.

At one time he was seen as a future superstar for WWE, but after suffering numerous injuries at just the wrong time, Wade Barrett never managed to break through.

After his contract expired, Barrett decided not to renew his deal in order to take time away from the ring and he was released Friday, along with fellow up-and-comer Damien Sandow:

Whenever Barrett does return, let's hope he finally gets the title run he deserves.

Sandow had a brief run as Damien Mizdow before it ended with the former mid-card talent being one of the most over guys in the company.

The one-time Money in the Bank winner (who failed to cash in for the WWE title) promptly fell flat when writers had no idea how to use him. He floundered as Macho Mandow before returning to his intellectual savior gimmick. After a string of tweets demanding more television time, Sandow is the latest to see his release.

Simply unreal day in the WWE world.
