Here's why Ronda Rousey's mom thinks her daughter will lose her title rematch

Ronda Rousey's mom didn't hold back!

Ronda Rousey's mom, AnnMaria De Mars, has no problem speaking her mind. And when it comes to her daughter's coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, De Mars probably couldn't say a nice thing about him if she tried.

De Mars sat down with Submission radio, via MMAFighting.com, and absolutely destroyed Tarverdyan.

Among the topics were Rousey's loss:

"I predicted it in advance," De Mars said of Rousey's knockout loss. "Ronda trained with an idiot. She trained with an idiot and a fraud...She came into that gym with a very strong background of training at the Olympic level and it carried her a long way."

To bashing her coach:

"She needs to get away from some egomaniac fraud and be herself. Ronda as herself can beat anybody on the planet. I'm sad about it but you become an adult and make decisions. Sometimes you make mistakes and hopefully you learn from them."

"The difference between me and these other fighters' moms is that I actually was a world champion," said De Mars.

As for Rousey's next bout, against the winner of the Holly Holm-Miesha Tate bout in March for the bantamweight crown. Rousey's mother doesn't think her daughter stands a chance if she stays with her coach.

"I think if she changes gyms she has an outstanding chance of winning. If she doesn't? As a statistician, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. If you do the same things with the same people you can expect the same results."

It's unlikely Rousey takes her mother's advice, but the former champ will need to change things up before her title rematch, or she'll be at risk of getting dominated yet again.
