The next big thing, Mairbek Taisumov (25-5) was coming off three consecutive wins by TKO/KO when he stepped into the Octagon Sunday against Damir Hadzovic (10-3) at UFC Fight Night 86.
Taisumov continued that trend in yet another first-round knockout when he caught Hadzovic with a vicious uppercut that buckled the opposition's knees and ended the bout.
We'll see if the UFC grants his wish and gives him a top-10 opponent after becoming a model of consistency at 155 pounds.
