Jon Jones returns after more than a year off to capture interim UFC light heavyweight championship

Jones-Cormier II.

Jon Jones (22-1) was stripped of his light heavyweight crown after an alleged hit-and-run incident left him in legal trouble, but after over a year layoff returned to take a decision victory over Ovince Saint Preaux (19-8).

Jones controlled the pace and dominated the fight from the opening bell, keeping his distance tossing nasty strikes and taking down Saint Preaux with ease.

Jones will fight Daniel Cormier (17-1) to unify the light heavyweight championships when he's healthy, which is assumed to be either at UFC 200 in July or at UFC's historic first card at Madison Square Garden in November.
