Michelle Beadle may have dropped a bombshell regarding Ronda Rousey's UFC return on SportsNation

One step toward the fight of the decade?

Ronda Rousey has long been rumored to be making her return anytime now before the end of the year. But if you're to believe ESPN's Michelle Beadle, it's a done deal for Rousey to step back into the Octagon at the end of December against Amanda Nunes for the UFC bantamweight crown.

During Thursday's SportsNation, Beadle and the crew discussed whether Rousey would eventually give fans the dream matchup against Cris "Cyborg" Justino.

Beadle matter-of-factly noted Rousey would face off against Nunes at the end of December, putting any fight against Cyborg in question. She then covered her tracks and said it wasn't "official, but it's official."

ESPN is known to have a working relationship with the UFC, as Dana White has announced some blockbuster fights on the network's programming, including Conor McGregor's bout against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.

It currently remains speculation on if Rousey will return, but it seems to be moving toward the former champ returning in December for the belt.

UFC 207 will take place from Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 30, 2016.
