Candice LeRae has been one of the top wrestlers in the world, starring in promotions like Chikara, PWG, and SHIMMER over the past several years. On Wednesday, though, she finally made what appears to be her debut with WWE, as she was in the No. 1 contender's battle royal for the NXT Women's Championship.

LeRae lost in the battle royal, eventually being eliminated by Billie Kay.
LeRae has emerged as one of the top in-ring talents on the indy circuit, particularly in her high-profile matches against male competitors.

If LeRae is indeed signed full-time to WWE, she could become one of the top competitors on either NXT or eventually on WWE television. There are few women wrestlers in the world that are better than her, and WWE should do their due diligence to capitalize on that.
LeRae, 31, is married to current WWE NXT star Johnny Gargano.
