Normally we'd write off talks of a serious injury leading to a finish as simply a storyline, but the typically on-point Wrestling Observer notes former NXT women's champion Bayley may have suffered a serious knee injury at Thursday night's taping.
"She had Jax in a guillotine when Jax picked up her up for a suplex. Bayley landed behind her, one of her legs buckled and she went into the corner.
The ref stalled for a minute and then Jax splashed her in the corner when she got up, did an elbow on the leg, and hit the leg drop for the clean win."
That led to speculation that she had torn her ACL:

Others, however, noted the trainer was simply a developmental talent, playing as a trainer:
BAYLEY ISN'T INJURED. Thank god. The medic is Chris Atkins who is a developmental talent. 🙏🙏🙏🙏. #work
