One of wrestling’s biggest stars may have just foretold a move to WWE YouTube/Screenshot

It looks like this could finally be happening after all.

Adam Cole lost his match to New Japan star Hiroshi Tanahashi at Friday’s War of the Worlds show, but that wasn’t as important as what happened after the match. Following Cole’s loss, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) came out to seemingly congratulate Cole on his performance. However, Kenny Omega later appeared on screen at the show to tell Cole that he had been fired from the “Bullet Club” faction, and replaced with Marty Scurll.

The significance of the move? It seems to be a way to write Cole out of the Bullet Club, as a move to WWE is expected this point for Cole. WWE has been after Cole for some time, and he is currently wrestling without an exclusive contract to any company right now, as his last one expired at the beginning of the month.

If Cole does join WWE, he is expected to go to the NXT developmental brand, where he should be one of the top stars on their show before eventually debuting on RAW or SmackDown.
