Report: Holly Holm, Conor McGregor will be on UFC 197 supercard

UFC was hoping to hold off Holly Holm's next bout until the much anticipated Ronda Rousey rematch, but it does not look like that will be happening.

According to Bleacher Report and MMA Junkie, Holm (10-0) will be a part of a supercard at UFC 197, where the UFC women's bantamweight champion will likely fight Miesha Tate. Tate (17-5) was supposed to get the title shot that Holm got at UFC 193, but was instead passed over.

Of course, you cannot have a supercard with just one main event. Reportedly joining the Holm-Tate bout with be a lightweight title fight between Rafael dos Anjos and featherweight champion Conor McGregor. McGregor (19-2) has publicly stated his intent to move up to the 155 weight-class, and a fight with dos Anjos (25-7) would give McGregor an immediate title shot in the new class.

UFC 197 is currently scheduled to take place on March 5 in Brazil. However, MMA Junkie notes that UFC may be looking to move the pay-per-view to Las Vegas.
