After months of rumors, Matt and Jeff Hardy could finally be closing in on a return to WWE.
Via ProWrestlingSheet:
"Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned that new contract offers have officially been extended to Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy by WWE — and all signs point to an inevitable return."
Although the Hardy Boys have reportedly not signed anything yet, PWS is reporting that they've at the very least been officially offered a contract to return to the WWE.
The Hardys are currently the Ring of Honor tag-team champions, and recent reports suggested Broken Matt and Brother Nero might be staying Ring of Honor long than many may have expected them to after being written off of Impact Wrestling earlier this month.
Another interesting aspect of this situation is the Hardy Boys legal battles over the Broken Matt and Brother Nero gimmicks that have revitalized the Hardy Boys careers.
Via PWS:
"Still no word on whether WWE creative is looking to use their "broken" characters, but the legal side of things probably doesn't bode well for a chance of that happening immediately."
Nothing is official as of yet, but it certainly is starting to look like the Hardys will be returning to WWE television sooner than we may have thought.
