One of the rising stars on WWE's NXT brand could be suffering from an injury prior to an upcoming title match in Chicago.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, NXT star Ember Moon is suffering from an apparent arm injury after a reported botch dive during television tapings last week. It was unclear at the time how serious the injury was at the time, but Meltzer referenced this picture of Moon in a sling — originally posted by WWE SmackDown's Natalya — as proof of its legitimacy.
Moon is set to face Asuka, Ruby Riot, and Nikki Cross for the NXT Women's Championship at the NXT Takeover show in Chicago in May. She will have almost a full month to recover, and being in a multi-person match means that she can be hidden if she is still suffering from an ill-effects of the injury.
That being said, the injury could force WWE to make changes to the match, and we will have to wait and see how they address it as the NXT event approaches.
