This Turkish player earned a red card by kicking his opponent's legs out from under him. Clearly fed up with the situation, he then reared back and kicked him right in the face.
Here's what the victim had to say, per Daily Sabah (H/T Complex)
"After the game, Karaka? told the press that he blacked out due to the kick, and he could have died. He pressed charges against De?irmenci for 'attempted manslaughter'. ...
"Thank god that kick came near my jaw. If it had hit me directly in the face, it could have broken my nose, made me blind or break my neck," Karaka? said, adding that he has been suffering from serious neck pain and hasn't been able to sleep for the last two days.
Speaking to the press after the incident, De?irmenci claimed that Karaka? cursed at his late mother during the charge and he could not control himself after the red card."
Whatever truly happened after the incident, it looks like these two have some prior history.
