Saturday's UFC 198 event saw Cris Cyborg score a Round 1 win, but it wasn't the only major Round 1 victory on the card, as Stipe Miocic scored the upset over champion and Fabricio Werdum to win the UFC heavyweight championship.
Werdum (20-6-1) was coming off of six straight wins, a stretch that saw him become the heavyweight champion. However, Miocic (15-2-0) had an an equally impressive last few fights, and now he has another huge win under his belt... his new, shiny belt!
For Werdum, he could get another shot at the belt, but the loss in his home country has to sting. Beyond Werdum, Miocic also has Cain Velasquez, Alistair Overeem, or even a rematch with Junior dos Santos to look forward to.
