Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Joanie "Chyna" Laurer passed away earlier this week, and her body is currently being held for autopsy and toxicology reports to determine the proper cause of death.

However, these won't be the other procedures performed, as Laurer's manager, Anthony Anzaldo, told the New York Daily News that he wants to have her brain donated for CTE research.

"We want to donate her brain," said Anzaldo to the NYDN. "We want to know what made Chyna tick."
Anzaldo apparently has reached out to Dr. Bennet Omalu, the doctor that discovered CTE and was the subject of the Will Smith movie Concussion. Anzaldo is not just interested in the CTE research, as he is also interested in how things like drug abuse and domestic violence may have affected the wrestler's brain.
Comparatively speaking, Laurer did not take near the physical damage in the ring that most wrestlers and football players do. However, her shorter wrestling career — combined with being a woman — will provide some new insight in the catalogue of brain damage based on repeated impacts.
