UFC officially announced the rematch of Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor. The rematch is set for July 9, according to MMA Junkie.
The fight will take place at UFC 200 in Las Vegas, along with a fill-in fight:
But in a new development, with McGregor not defending his featherweight title, an interim 145-pound belt will be on the line at the event: Former champion Jose Aldo (25-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) will meet former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (20-4-1 MMA, 14-4-1 UFC), and the winner will move on to a featherweight title unification fight with McGregor down the line.
In their last bout, Diaz won in two rounds by submission during McGregor's first time fighting up in weight class and after Diaz had only two weeks to prepare after Rafael dos Anjos dropped out.
