Mike Perry's recent entry into the world of mixed martial arts has been a successful one. The newcomer is undefeated in his first eight fights, and scored an impressive knockout win over Hyun Gyu Linn at UFC 202 in Las Vegas over the weekend.

But Perry is also raising eyebrows for the wrong reasons. A video that's being characterized as containing a racist rant by Perry's cornerman during the pay-per-view event Saturday night has gone viral.

The extent of Perry's involvement is unknown, but he'll surely have to answer for it at some point. In the clip's muffled audio, the cornerman can be heard referring to Perry's Korean opponent in a way that can only be construed as racist:

"That's your post-winner dinner. He's got nothing for you, Mike. He can't even open his mother******g eyes, boy."

The incident was compounded by Perry's revelation that he's done time in prison and is currently on probation for a burglary arrest.

"I was arrested five or six years ago for burglary," he said in an interview with The MMA Hour Monday. "I'm under probation, and I have things that I have to oblige to. And I was put on two years community control, three years probation, after being out on bond for a year."

Perry said he was sent to prison after violating his probation by failing a drug test.

"I did violate the community control with a failed drug screen," he conceded. "And I did almost six months in jail," he admitted. "I got out, they reinstated my probation and I've been working on that ever since."

Looks like he also needs to work on getting his team together.
