A scheduled bout for the UFC light-heavyweight title has been changed, as champion Daniel Cormier has pulled out of the scheduled UFC 197 main event against Jon Jones due to a leg injury.

UFC president Dana White announced on ESPN that Jones will now be fighting Ovince Saint Preux for an interim title on April 23.

Jones (21-1) was looking to retake his title from Cormier after it was stripped from in after a felony hit-and-run accident in 2015. Jones was ready to fight on April 23 despite his own legal trouble recently, which included him being arrested again a week ago for a probation violation.

Saint Preux (19-7) should be well-rested for this bout, having last fought on February 6 at UFC Fight Night 82. Saint Preux won that fight, defeating Rafael Cavalcante by unanimous decision.

Jones is currently the overwhelming favorite, has he opened as a -675 favorite (4:27) over Saint Preux.
