It's looks like the WWE 2K games have done it again.

Ever since it was announced that Bill Goldberg would be a part of WWE 2K17, speculation immediately went rampant about a potential return for one of wrestling's biggest stars of all time. However, in the months since that announcement, there had been no movement on WWE's end to actually bringing Goldberg back to the WWE ring.
Until now, apparently.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (subscription required) noted on his most recent radio show that WWE is in serious talks to bringing Goldberg back, and that a deal could "already be done".
There are very serious talks will Bill Goldberg going on right now. They may be more serious than... they may already be done for all I know. Everyone is avoiding the question, but where there's smoke, there's fire, and Bill Goldberg is going to be on Sportscenter on Wednesday, and he's going to talk about his relationship with WWE.
It's in the very strong discussion stages at worst.
Goldberg has been out of major pro-wrestling since 2004 after his horrific WrestleMania XX match against Brock Lesnar. It was known before that match that Goldberg and Lesnar would be leaving the company, and the crowd easily turned on a match that both performers phoned in.

The speculation now, though, is that Goldberg would be returning to face Lesnar, likely at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. That is what the WWE 2K17 commercials have been featuring, and if WWE thinks it is something that can make them money, then their is no reason for them to not make that pairing. Even with Goldberg turning 50 later this year, he and Lesnar would likely put on a better show than they did 12 years ago.
Of course, WWE may not wait until WrestleMania. Former announcer Jim Ross is reporting that the match could happen as soon as Survivor Series in November.
Another source says that @Goldberg vs @BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at #SurvivorSeries. If true, bravo @wwe

Goldberg is a two-time World Heavyweight Champion — once with WCW and once with WWE. Goldberg rose to fame after a huge winning streak in WCW turned him into one of the hottest acts in wrestling. Even after that streak was ended, both WCW and WWE kept Goldberg as one of the strongest booked wrestlers of all time.
