WWE legend's in-ring career likely coming to an end for a new job pursuit

The Big Red Machine is making big changes.

Kane has been a member of the active roster in WWE for over 20 years, but it looks as though the Big Red Machine's in-ring career might finally be coming to an end. Kane, who goes by Glenn Jacobs in real life, is officially running for mayor of Knox City, Tenn.

Via Bleacher Report:

"In May 2016, Jacobs said he was mulling a bid for mayor because incumbent Tim Burchett's term limit was set to expire in 2018 and he wanted to find ways to positively impact Knox County.

"I think the most important thing is I care very deeply about this community, like a lot of people do," he said, per WBIR.com's Mike Donila. "And that's the only reason I would consider getting into any sort of government because I do care very deeply."

Jacobs has been linked with politics for sometime now, so it's not surprising to see Jacobs transition from wrestling to politics at this stage in his career.

However, Jacobs hasn't officially retired from wrestling as of yet, so it should be interested to see how WWE approaches this new life choice by Jacobs going forward.
