It looks like WWE has found a preferred location for one of their premier annual events.
After hosting the Royal Rumble in 2015, Philadelphia will get another shot to host the event again in January of 2018. WWE sent out a release on Thursday announcing that the 2018 Royal Rumble would take place in Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, January 28, 2018. WWE also announced a four-day block of events, including an NXT Takeover, Monday Night RAW, and SmackDown Live, all taking place from Philadelphia that weekend.

"We are excited to have Philadelphia serve as host to one of WWE's biggest events of 2018," said WWE executive John Saboor in the press release. "We look forward to an unprecedented four consecutive nights of WWE action at Wells Fargo Center, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Royal Rumble."
The announcement comes just days before WWE's 2017 version of the Royal Rumble on Sunday. That event is being headlined by the annual royal rumble match featuring Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, and the Undertaker, as well as a WWE title match between John Cena and A.J. Styles.
