Smackdown Live! took place Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York as the countdown to the blue brand's Money in the Bank premier show continued.
WWE Smackdown Live!: Results for Tuesday, June 6
- The blue brand opened the show with all of the participants of the first-ever WWE Women's Money in the Bank in the ring with Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon in the center of the ring. The MITB briefcase was revealed to be white, like the women's title.
- What followed the good segment, Naomi and Charlotte and Becky Lynch took on The Welcoming Committee in a decent match. It ended with Lana attacking Naomi when she wasn't looking, so Tamina Snuka hit her with a superkick to win the six-women tag team match.
- Backstage segment with Mojo Rawley and McMahon. Rawley comes off very strong and likeable when asking McMahon for an opportunity. Rawley doesn't dance around his absence from Smackdown Live since winning the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal. In the land of opportunity, Rawley gets his wish and a match with WWE Champion Jinder Mahal tonight.
- AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler is up next in a rematch from last week's Smackdown Live in Atlanta, GA. Styles, because it's his hometown, lost the match. However, Styles bounced back this week hitting Ziggler with the Styles Clash to get the clean victory.
- Fashion Files is back with "Dumb on Arrival". Fandango's comedic timing continues to be the best with the line, "It turns out there are no boys and no lab." The New Day interrupts the segment to offer the duo a romper that Tyler Breeze ultimately tries on. This segment was the best so far, and The New Day are the perfect foil to the Fashion Police's over-the-top comedy.
- Up next is Mojo Rawley vs. Jinder Mahal. Rawley comes out to zero reaction from the crowd, which is somewhat disappointing. Mahal's entrance is perfect, and he really does come off as a top dog in the WWE. They've done an incredible job with his presentation on Smackdown Live each week. Mahal takes down Rawley with relative ease. This was the worst match on the show by far, and Rawley just couldn't get the crowd behind him.
- The New Day vs. The Colons is up next, and the New Day get the biggest pop of the night. The trio takes care of the Colons with relative ease. The Usos then come out and cut another great promo on the New Day. These two teams have incredible chemistry.
- Kevin Owens vs. Shinsuke Nakamura is the main event and the crowd was ready for this one. Nakamura and Owens don't have an incredibly long match, but Owens gets in some great offense before Nakamura eventually hits his devastating knee finisher to get the win. After the match, Baron Corbin hits the ring and destroys Nakamura with the End of Days.
