WWE superstar Summer Rae has been cleared to return to the WWE after dealing with severe back and neck injuries dating back to 2016 according to a new report.
Via Wrestling Inc:
"Summer Rae has reportedly been cleared to return to action. Dave Meltzer reported on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that she is healthy and was at last week's television tapings."
"Rae has been out of action since last August due to neck and back injuries. She was training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando in March."
Rae, of course, made her debut alongside Fandango in 2013, but had been all over the place after their split — perhaps most notable in a program with Rusev, Lana and Dolph Ziggler before she went down with injury.
With how stacked both WWE Women's Divisions are, it's no surprise that the powers that be are struggling to find a place for her. With Lana debuting on Smackdown Live soon, perhaps WWE will ultimately decide to have Rae return on Raw around the same time, which was the show that she was drafted to in 2016.
It should be interesting to see what route they ultimately decide to go with a talent like Rae, but there are a lot of options.
