WWE's Black Friday arrives as plenty of talent get their release

WWE's Black Friday has arrived early, as superstars got a few unexpected, but mostly expected pink-slips.

Damien Sandow - Sandow's brief run as Damien Mizdow ended with the former mid-card talent being one of the most over guys in the company. The former Money in the Bank winner (who also failed to cash in) promptly fell flat when writers had no idea how to use him. He floundered as Macho Mandow before returning to his intellectual savior gimmick. After a string of tweets demanding more television time, Sandow is the latest to see his release.

Wade Barrett - Arguably the most talented guy on the roster never to have a major title run, Barrett is stepping away from the ring for a bit, but noted hell be back when the time is right:

Hornswoggle - The lovable anonymous Raw general manager and Vince McMahon's "illegitimate child" found random spots with Degeneration-X and on some WWE Network shows, but hasn't been used on television regularly in sometime.

Alex Riley - The height of A-Ry's career came as an understudy to The Miz, before backstage beef with John Cena dropped his career in a hurry. He rebranded himself in NXT only to fizzle out.

Cameron - The surprise of the releases and more known for her standing as a member of Total Divas and a Funkadactyl, Cameron was back working on her wrestling in NXT before her release. She publicly backed Ryback, before clarifying her stance.

Zeb Colter - His most recent run had a high of representing Cesaro and Jack Swagger, before he made an odd return to unite Mexico and the United States with Albert Del Rio. Colter hasn't been on television in months.

Santino Marella - Marella retired from the ring in 2014 and the comedy act had been used sparingly since then.

El Torito - Had a brief run with Los Matadores before they were rebranded. Still holds the best pre-show match of all-time.
