Years after beating cancer, Tatiana Suarez is the next great female UFC fighter

What a comeback.

Tatiana Suarez (5-0) hadn't lost a bout heading into her The Ultimate Fighter strawweight final against Amanda Cooper, and she didn't leave with a loss either.

Suarez, who beat Thyroid cancer after it was found during an MRI and CAT scan, was on her way to the Olympics before her career was derailed. Now, she's the Ultimate Fighter and has mixed solid striking with her dominant ground game.

Now, with the Ultimate Fighter in her rearview, Suarez will attempt to work her way up the division. Judging by what she's come from, she shouldn't have any problem moving toward contention in one of the organization's more competitive divisions.
