According to a press release, SMAC Entertainment, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and EverWonder Studio are joining forces to create the Grand Slam of Flag. This global tournament will bring together the top women's national flag football teams from around the world and pit them against each other in February 2027.

Strahan, the co-founder of SMAC Entertainment, will have a prominent role in this new endeavor. He will serve as a founding partner of the Grand Slam of Flag. Sam Rapoport, an executive with more than 23 years of NFL experience, will serve as the commissioner.

SMAC Entertainment, Creative Artists Agency, and EverWonder Studio will work with the NFL to develop and grow the league while establishing it as a global force in the flag football world.

Six countries have currently signed up for the inaugural Grand Slam of Flag schedule. The list includes USA Football, Football Canada, Mexico's FMFA, Great Britain's BAFA, Spain's FEFA, and China's CRFA.

These teams will battle the week of Super Bowl 61 in Los Angeles, California. They will compete for the $500,000 prize pool, which Grand Slam of Flag says is the largest financial prize ever offered in women's flag football.

The league will also announce additional event dates and host cities for 2027 in the future. All of these events will help build momentum as the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles approach.

The 2028 Olympic Games mark the first time that flag football is an official event on the schedule.

Helping establish a women's flag football league is not the first time that Strahan has shown his appreciation for the sport. He and SMAC Entertainment previously collaborated on a documentary, The Future is Flag, about the rise and evolution of women's flag football.

"This is a moment for women to have a pro sports league of their own, with the Olympics coming up as well," Strahan said during a March appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

"2028, flag football will be in the Olympics. And to me, I'm more excited to watch the women than the men."
