The nation's No. 1 cornerback Akeem Dent has decommitted from Miami

No, not that one.

Miami had some good news in recruiting this weekend by picking up two four-star recruits, but not everything was sunny-side up for Mark Richt and the Hurricanes.

On Sunday evening, the No. 1-ranked cornerback of the 2019 class Akeem Dent (6-foot-1, 170 pounds, West Palm Beach, Fla.) announced that he would be reopening his recruitment by decommitting from Miami.

Dent had committed to Miami back in July of 2016, which is super early for someone of the Class of 2019. It's not too surprising that he eventually decommitted, and schools will likely start getting back in contact with him over the next few months.

According to 247Sports, Dent currently holds eight offers, including offers from Georgia, Auburn, and Florida State. He bears no apparent relation to former Georgia player and current NFL-er Akeem Dent.
