This amateur golfer may have the worst, yet functional swing of all time

The best thing about pro-ams the week of any tournament is that the professionals get to play the same course alongside more relatable golfers. Given that these amateur golfers don't dedicate their lives to playing this game, sometimes you get to see some unique and unorthodox paths to the ball. At the Albertsons Boise Open on the Web.com Tour, we may have just seen the cream of the crop.

I genuinely don't know how you describe this swing. Generally, a solid golf swing is built on posture, alignment, and rotation, and this just... an incredible interpretation of that. I really, really need to know how one develops this type of swing. I'm speechless, really. Even with all that extreme movement though, she does make solid enough contact and appears to be putting it out there at a respectable distance. This woman deserves all the credit in the world for making this swing work and not caring how it looks.   Let's put it this way: there are far worse outcomes that could have come in this video as a result of what we're seeing here.

Steve Wheatcroft shot a 65 in the opening round of the tournament, by the way. He's three shots back of the current lead. Maybe this transformative viewing experience put him in the right frame of mind. Prove me wrong.
