Collin Morikawa has had a big year, and not just on the course.

Fresh off his win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February, Morikawa revealed he and his wife, Katherine Zhu, are expecting their first child.
"We are actually expecting later this year," he told CBS Sports. "We just started telling people this week."
And yeah, he picked a pretty good time to share it. Morikawa said the plan was simple. If he won, that was the announcement. Mission accomplished.

The two later posted a photo together holding the trophy, hinting at the news with a short caption. Nothing over the top, just a quiet confirmation.
Morikawa and Zhu go back a while. They met in college while both were playing golf, got engaged a few years later, and married in 2022.
She's since moved into marathon running, but golf still connects the whole thing. Morikawa kept it pretty grounded after the win, pointing to his inner circle and everything going on outside the ropes.
"There's so much to life," he said.
That part is about to get a whole lot busier. One win down. Bigger milestone on deck.
