Fans Devastated By Tiger Woods’ Latest Ruptured Achilles Injury

15x major winner Tiger Woods announced on Tuesday (via X) that he underwent surgery after rupturing his left Achilles tendon while practicing at his house.

"As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured," Woods wrote.

That is, Tiger says he is expected to make a full recovery, yet fans are growing concerned, especially considering the 49-year-old's injury history.

As one user on X said, "Tiger Woods be having injuries like he play middle linebacker."

Another added, "I'm not sure an athlete has ever had more body parts injured."

In view of Woods' career seemingly winding down, some are calling for him to retire.

@ESPNBooger wrote, "It's not our place to tell him what to do however I hope enough is enough. Body has been thru a lot. Enjoy your kids. We will cherish all 82 of the wins and in a lot of eyes He is the greatest to ever touch a club."

As many remember Woods suffered career-threatening injuries during a 2021 car crash.

And since then the legendary golfer has not won any major championships, with his last one coming from the 2019 Masters.

Ultimately, there is still hope for Woods to make a comeback in 2026, as he has shown his resiliency to overcome obstacles throughout his storied career.
