Grace Charis isn't just another social media star trying to build her brand — she's also using her platform to promote golf, whether traditionalists like it or not.
Lately, it's been via more and more of the good old "slow-mo" videos, and to her fans' delight, she just posted another one. "Golf," the caption read, and that was enough.

Sure, she's known for posting photos in revealing outfits, but Charis insists there's more to it. In fact, she claims her love for the game is genuine and that her influence is actually bringing more eyes to the sport.
"I wasn't trying to be a golfer at first," Charis told Golf Monthly. "It was more about getting views and being in the creator space. I let social media dictate what I was wearing — if this outfit does well, or if it doesn't." She admits she likes the edginess, but she's also quick to point out that she's not just about the attention.

That said, Charis knows exactly what she's doing. She acknowledges the appeal of her style, explaining that her approach is hardly new or scandalous. "It's a free world," she said. "In Europe, people go naked to the beaches all the time, so I don't really see the difference."
Charis believes that, despite the critics, her influence is having a positive impact on the game of golf. She's attended major tournaments, hit exclusive golf clubs, and insists that what she's doing is bringing more people into the fold. "Whether we like it or not, even though it's kind of sexualized, I'm getting a lot of people to watch golf."

Clearly, Charis isn't about to stop. She knows her approach may ruffle some feathers, but as long as she's helping to grow the game, she sees no reason to change. "I'd rather focus on the fact that it's growing the game," she said. "I think that's a positive in a lot of ways."
