The golf influencer weighed in on X after European players, especially Rory McIlroy, faced a barrage of heckling from American fans at Bethpage Black. Spiranac said this kind of conduct has become far too common across sports and that it needs to change.

"I'm sadly not shocked by the fan behavior at the Ryder Cup because it's become the norm at most sporting events and in my opinion it needs to change across all sports," she wrote.

McIlroy was at the center of the storm. Fans shouted multiple expletives his way throughout the weekend, and on Saturday he flat-out refused to putt until the gallery quieted down. Europe went on to secure the Cup on Sunday, but the fan behavior remained a major talking point afterward.

Spiranac then shared a recent personal experience at a football game to illustrate her point. "This man in front of me was disgustingly drunk, yelling the most vile s—- to players and opposing fans, spilling his drink everywhere, wanting to fight people, and it completely ruined the experience for me and everyone around him," she wrote.

The most telling part came when the man's young nephew, around seven years old, started mimicking him while the family laughed. "This behavior is taught," Spiranac added.

She made clear she's not calling for golf crowds to sit in silence. "You can have passion, chirp, have fun banter, enjoy yourself at the event or game but there's a line and it's crossed so many times now," she said.
