President Trump Reveals If Tiger Woods Will Play in The Masters

Tiger Woods wants to play The Masters. According to President Donald Trump, it's not happening.

Speaking on Fox News this week, Trump said Woods will be at Augusta National next month — just not in the field.

"I love Tiger, but he won't be there," Trump said. "He will be there, but he won't be playing in it."

That's a strong statement. It also doesn't fully line up with what Woods has been saying publicly.

Woods, 50, is still pushing to make a decision. He returned this week at the TGL Finals and admitted his body isn't where it used to be, but made it clear he hasn't ruled anything out.

"I've been trying," Woods said. "It doesn't recover like it did when I was 24 or 25... but I keep trying. I want to play."

Woods has dealt with a long list of injuries, including lumbar disk replacement surgery in October and a ruptured Achilles last year. He hasn't played a regular tour event since the 2024 British Open.

Even so, he plans to be at Augusta either way. The five-time Masters champion said he'll attend the Champions Dinner and continue working toward a possible return.

There's also a personal layer here. Woods is currently dating Vanessa Trump, Trump's former daughter-in-law, adding another connection to the comments that are now making headlines.

So, nothing is official. But if Trump is right, one of the biggest names in golf will be walking Augusta without a club in his hands.
