Scottie Scheffler just won his second Masters in three seasons, and in fairly dominating fashion. But apparently, that's not good enough for sports-talk radio host Maggie Gray.
Speaking on the Maggie and Perloff show on Sirius XM radio, Gray suggested that Scheffler isn't great for golf, as relayed by Mark Harris of Outkick.
"If he's the face of golf, I don't think this is all that awesome for golf because he's got no rizz as the kids say," Gray said, via Harris. "He's not a charisma guy. He's not, I'm not saying you have to be big on social media, he doesn't seem to be really connecting with the public in a real way."
Uh, OK.
But wait. There's more.
She even took a jab at Scheffler for the reports that he would've left the Masters had his wife Meredith gone into labor. She's due any day now.
"What do you know about Scottie Scheffler, that he almost had a baby this week, something that everyone in the world does," Gray added.
Again ... uh, OK.

Basically it seems that some people can't stomach a winner unless they have some media narrative surrounding them. That's especially the case for mainstream media. It's really the case for radio hosts with nothing better to discuss.
"He may not be the typical 27-year-old guy who lives on social media, but he's absolutely connecting with millions around the world when he speaks about his faith, the love for his wife, and how golf will now be the fourth priority on his list when he becomes a father in the very near future," Harris wrote. "Scheffler connects with people because he's a simple, normal, humble dude who just happens to be the best golfer walking the planet at the moment."
Now that seems like plenty of "rizz," actually.
