Tiger Woods has made history, and while we've seen him play better golf, his first two days could be considered somewhat inspirational.
For the 24th straight time, Woods has made the cut at the Masters — a tournament record.
For a while, it appeared as if that would be in question. That's because Woods had a fairly miserable first day, finishing tied for 36th at 1-over 73 and eight strokes behind Day 1 leader Bryson DeChambeau.
But Friday, things went quite differently, with Woods finishing with an even-par 72.
"It means I have a chance going into the weekend," Woods said, via ESPN. "I'm here. I have a chance to win the golf tournament. I don't know if they're all going to finish today, but I'm done. I got my two rounds in. Just need some food and some caffeine, and I'll be good to go."

"Unlike last year, when Woods tied Fred Couples and Gary Player, he is moving around Augusta National well and looks ready to play the weekend despite being seven strokes back of clubhouse leader and playing mate Max Homa," wrote Patrick McDonald of CBS Sports. "The last time Tiger saw through 72 holes at the Masters was in 2022 when he shot 78-78 over the weekend, grinding through pain to post the worst individual and combined rounds of his career at ANGC."
With five-time Masters winner Tiger Woods in the field, ESPN's First Round Viewership on Thursday Averaged 3.2M viewers.

"It's just an amazing aura that Augusta National has, and I'm lucky to have come here since I was 19," Woods said after his round.
But as written by Ryan Morik of Fox News: "It's going to take some manpower to get a sixth green jacket. He's tied for 24th and eight shots back, but it's not impossible."
So yeah, this is Tiger Woods we're talking about. Even when he seems like a long shot, we know that's never really the case.
