Tony Romo is set to make his broadcasting debut at CBS, and it won’t be for a football game.
According to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra, Romo will make his debut this weekend at the 18th hole of the Dean & DeLuca Invitational. Romo will appear with his future broadcast partner Jim Nantz, as well as Nick Faldo.
CBS Sports Producer Lance Barrow broke the news at a black-tie event on Monday night prior to the tournament. The tournament is held at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
Romo has a background in golf, and he attempted to qualify for the U.S. Open after he retired from the Dallas Cowboys.
Romo will be officially introduced as a member of the CBS team during his appearance at the tournament, and it should be a low pressure event for him to get started.
