Long before his current relationship with Vanessa Trump, Woods was married to Elin Nordegren, the Swedish former model and nanny with whom he shares two children.

Here's what to know about Nordegren and her life since their highly publicized divorce.

How did Elin Nordegren meet Tiger Woods?

Nordegren was born Jan. 1, 1980, in Stockholm, Sweden. Her mother, Barbro Holmberg, is a Swedish politician, while her father, Thomas Nordegren, is a journalist. She also has an identical twin sister, Josefin.

Nordegren eventually moved to the United States and worked as a nanny for Swedish professional golfer Jesper Parnevik and his family.

That job ultimately introduced her to Woods.

The two met through the Parneviks at the 2001 Open Championship. They eventually began dating and became engaged in 2003.

Woods and Nordegren married in Barbados in October 2004.

How many children do Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have?

Woods and Nordegren have two children together.

Their daughter, Sam Alexis Woods, was born in 2007. Their son, Charlie Axel Woods, followed in 2009.

Charlie has since become a competitive golfer himself and has frequently played alongside his father at events such as the PNC Championship.

Why did Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren divorce?

Their marriage unraveled publicly beginning in late 2009 amid revelations that Woods had been unfaithful.

Woods eventually acknowledged his infidelity and stepped away from professional golf for several months.

Nordegren and Woods finalized their divorce in August 2010 after nearly six years of marriage. Reports at the time placed Nordegren's divorce settlement at approximately $100 million, although the complete financial terms were kept private.

Despite the circumstances surrounding their split, the two eventually developed a co-parenting relationship centered around Sam and Charlie.

What is Elin Nordegren doing now?

Nordegren largely stepped away from celebrity life after the divorce.

She returned to school and graduated from Rollins College in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Nordegren later began a relationship with former NFL tight end Jordan Cameron, who played for the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins during his seven-year NFL career. Nordegren and Cameron have since built a family together while generally remaining out of the spotlight.

Woods, meanwhile, has remained a visible presence in Nordegren's life through their children.

His personal life has changed considerably since their marriage ended more than 15 years ago, but Nordegren will forever be connected to one of the most closely followed periods of Woods' career.

These days, however, she seems perfectly content letting Tiger make the headlines without her.
