The wife of missing Virginia football coach Travis Turner has quietly deleted her social media accounts at the same time the family revealed he was armed when he disappeared during an active child pornography investigation.

Leslie Caudill Turner, who had long been a visible presence online, scrubbed her Facebook profile after Virginia State Police issued 10 warrants for her husband's arrest last week. Turner, the longtime head coach at Union High School in Big Stone Gap, had been celebrated in the community and frequently featured in his wife's posts about the team's success and their three children.
Leslie had also used her account to share updates after Turner was reported missing on Nov. 20, the same day authorities arrived at the family's Appalachia home to question him. Police later announced he was wanted on five counts of possessing child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor.
As the search widened, the family's attorney, Adrian Collins, said in a statement obtained by WJLA that Turner was last seen leaving the home with a firearm and walking into a heavily wooded, mountainous area.
"The last known contact the family had with Travis occurred on or about Thursday, Nov. 20," Collins said. "At which point, no warrants had been issued for his arrest."
Collins added that the family has cooperated fully with investigators and launched its own search. "It is the family's prayer that Travis is safe and will have the opportunity to defend himself in a court of law," Collins said.
Turner's family has continued to deny the allegations against him. "None of that is true," Leslie told the Daily Mail last week. "He's a good dad and a good husband."
Turner remains missing as state police continue their search.
