Kaiden Parker, an 18-year-old from Oskaloosa, was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree sexual assault. According to the criminal complaint, a woman told officers that Parker forced intercourse during a March incident at a home in Oskaloosa, roughly 60 miles southeast of Des Moines.
Police said the accuser had visible spots on her scalp where her hair had been pulled, and that she immediately told others in the home what happened.
"In court documents revealed, the victim had two observable spots on her scalp where hair had been forcibly removed during the alleged incident," Sports Illustrated wrote.
Parker, who placed at last year's Iowa high school state wrestling tournament, was booked and later released on a $10,ooo bond. He's scheduled for a preliminary hearing on December twelve.
The Oskaloosa School District confirmed it is aware of the investigation and is cooperating with law enforcement. Officials also noted the alleged incident did not occur on school property and that Parker has not attended in-person classes "for approximately one year."
Parker, a two-time state qualifier, finished fourth at 132 pounds in Class 2A during the 2025 state tournament and placed sixth the previous year.
The case remains active as Parker awaits his next court appearance.
