The wife of missing Virginia high school football coach Travis Turner is publicly denying the allegations that led to an active search for her husband, saying the claims do not match the man she knows.

Leslie Turner, 46, spoke briefly with the Daily Mail on Tuesday after Virginia State Police announced that Travis Turner is wanted on five counts of possessing child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor.
Turner disappeared last week, shortly before investigators arrived at the couple's Appalachia home to question him.
"I don't know anything. I don't know anything. I'm sorry," Leslie Turner said when asked about the charges. She insisted the allegations are false. "None of that is true. He's a good dad and a good husband."

Police said they were en route to the home on Thursday when they were informed that Turner was not there. He has not been seen since, and a statewide search is underway.
Virginia State Police have deployed multiple resources, including K9 units and drones.
Leslie Turner said the family has been devastated by his disappearance and is focused solely on finding him.
"We want him home. That's it," she told the outlet. "We are all just hanging in there until we get news."

She declined to address rumors that he had been spotted carrying a rifle, saying she had been advised not to comment.
Turner served as the head football coach at Union High School in Big Stone Gap.
A staff member at the school was recently placed on administrative leave and barred from being on campus or interacting with students, though neither the school nor Turner's family has confirmed whether he was that individual.
Union High entered the postseason undefeated before Turner vanished.
The town's tight-knit football community is now grappling with both his disappearance and the allegations that surfaced in the days that followed.
