The racehorse Great White suddenly flipped itself over, throwing jockey Alex Achard off in the process. The John Ennis-trained horse is now scratched from the race.

Great White (21) horse had a frightening flip at the Kentucky Derby. These poor horses are so stressed out and easily spooked. Hope he’ll be ok #KentuckyDerby pic.twitter.com/UoyzU4wJ7l

Great White, a gray gelding, was given the No. 21 designation for the race. NBC Sports relayed that he had the 9th-best odds (22-1) to win it all at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
No word of Achard's and horse's conditions as of press time. Great White was later seen back on his hooves and walking normally.
According to America's Best Racing, Great White has already had its share of highs and lows in its racing career. He won a Dec. 12, race at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky, but then faced "a troubled start" at Leonatus Stakes on Jan. 17, leading to a fifth place finish. Great White and Achard soon rebounded, winning the John Battaglia Memorial Stakes on Feb. 21.
This is a developing story.
