Mark Davis Steals WNBA Finals Spotlight With His Awful Dance Moves

On Wednesday Night, the Las Vegas Aces won the WNBA Finals, beating the New York Liberty 70-69 (winning the series 3-1), and the owner, Mark Davis, who also owns the Las Vegas Raiders, didn't fear letting his excitement show whatsoever, busting out some dance moves.

In the game, the Aces only outscored the Liberty in the third quarter but managed to win with four players scoring double digits—A'ja Wilson (24), Jackie Young (16), Cayla George (11), and Alysha Clark (10). Wilson was a dominant force in the game, bringing in 16 rebounds, and Young added seven assists. Kelsey Plum also stuffed the stat sheet, scoring seven points, dishing five assists, and hauling in eight rebounds.

This series-clinching win came despite the output from Liberty guard Courtney Vandersloot, who had 19 points, six assists, and seven rebounds. Breanna Stewart also had a double-double with 10 points and 14 boards.

As you can see in the clip above, Davis was dawning an all-white suit with his signature bowl cut as those around him chanted, "Go Mark!"

Davis bought the team in 2021, and since then, they've won back-to-back WNBA Finals, defeating the Connecticut Sun 3-1.

As mentioned, Davis also owns the Raiders. They've been in Vegas since the 2020 season. Since then, the Raiders are 27-29. They lost in the 2021-22 postseason Wild Card Round on the road to the Cincinnati Bengals and finished that year with a 10-7 record. Other than that, they had one season (2020) with a .500 record, went 6-11 in 2022-23, and are off to a 3-3 start through six weeks of the 2023-24 NFL season.

Back to the dance moves, users on X certainly didn't hold back from turning this into a meme.

"I'll be dancing like this when he fires Josh mcdaniels," one user wrote.

Others were more positive, though.

"I love the way he loves, invests, and gives credit to the women on this team," another user wrote.

We'll see if Davis' other team, the Raiders, can enjoy similar success to the Aces this NFL season. Either way, expect the Aces to be in the thick of things for a three-peat in 2024.
