According to the team website, the two former Cardinals will be inducted during a special pre-game ceremony on Sept. 12. They will join Bill Sherdel, who spent 14 years pitching for the team between 1918 and 1932.

Pujols made a major impact on the Cardinals during his MLB career. He made his debut for the team in 2001 and kicked off an 11-year run in which he earned All-Star honors nine times.

He won Rookie of the Year and MVP two times while playing for the Cardinals. He won the Silver Slugger six times and the Gold Glove two times. He led MLB in runs scored in 2003-2005 and 2009-2010.

Pujols departed the Cardinals after the 2011 season, and he kicked off a 10-year run with the Angels. He then spent part of one season with the Dodgers.

The veteran player actually returned to the Cardinals for one final run in 2022. Pujols closed out his career with the team that brought him into the majors, and he delivered a milestone. He hit 24 home runs during his final season in MLB and surpassed the 700 mark. He capped off his career with All-Star honors yet again.

"I was actually looking at the picture of Albert underneath the tunnel when he hit 700," Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said, per the team site.

"It was just him by himself sitting, almost kneeling on one of those little medicine balls. And it's one of my favorite pictures, because it just depicts ... all the work, sacrifice that goes into that moment, right? So, for him to be honored with being a red jacket — I mean, that's amazing."

Molina spent all 19 years of his MLB career with the Cardinals. He made his debut in 2004, and he continued to suit up for the team while delivering in multiple ways.

Molina made 10 All-Star appearances and won nine Gold Gloves from the catcher position. He won the National League Platinum Glove award in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015. This honor celebrated him as the best defensive player in the National League.

Pujols and Molina both achieved something great with the Cardinals. They helped the team win the World Series in both 2006 and 2011.
