His performance — a game-tying home run, a hit batter and a walk — didn't deserve the criticism legendary voice Bob Costas gave him on his way out.
"Strop is on his way out, pointing towards the heavens. We can only ask, or wonder that he is asking some departed relative for forgiveness for this atrocious performance."
Costas typically has strong takes on hot-button stories, but this seems exceptionally harsh for a rough outing in late June.
