Cody Bellinger’s Wife Once Dated New York Yankees Teammate Giancarlo Stanton

In a blockbuster trade, the New York Yankees have now acquired star outfielder Cody Bellinger from the Chicago Cubs, except the front office may have overlooked one key fact... Bellinger's wife, Chase Carter, is teammate Giancarlo Stanton's ex-girlfriend.

That is to say, Stanton, 35, and Carter, 27, were dating in 2018-2019, before Bellinger and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model became a couple in 2020. They have since gotten married, in addition to having two children together.

All in all, without considering the locker room situation, Bellinger will undoubtedly be a good addition to the Yankees star-studded lineup that just lost their superstar slugger Juan Soto to the Mets in free agency.

In view of his accolades, at 29 years old, Bellinger is a 2x All-Star (2017, 2019), 2x Silver Slugger (2019, 2023), Gold Glove winner (2019), NL Rookie of the Year (2017), NL MVP (2019), and World Series Champion (2020).

More than likely, Bellinger will take over in center field, while Judge will slide back into right field in Soto's absence.

Bellinger, who won the 2019 MVP, will now join his fellow MVP teammates: Stanton (2017- NL) and Aaron Judge (2022, 2024- AL).

Throughout his eight-year career, playing for the Dodgers and Cubs, Bellinger has a .259 batting average, along with contributing 196 home runs, 597 RBI's, and 601 runs.

Fans have also joked that Bellinger will fit right in on the Bronx bombers, as him and Judge both have two of the highest postseason strikeout %'s in MLB history.
