With the Philadelphia Phillies leading 3-1, Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager came to the plate and hit a long ball to right field at Citizens Bank Park. The ball, which appeared to have hit something near the wall and fell to the ground, was ruled a double. That is when, they went to replay, and it was revealed that a fan in the crowd actually used her nachos to try and catch the ball, which explained how the ball dropped back into the field of play. The camera panned over to the stadium food lying on the warning track.
The announcers were heard saying, "Looks like Corey must have got some nachos right there."
So then the question for the umpires was, if the nachos were thrown on the ground, or did the ball in fact make contact with a fan's food over the wall and then fall back into play.
"All you gotta do is check the baseball. If there's cheese on it, it's gone."

Upon review, there was a mother and daughter both going for the ball, the kid was using her glove to try and catch the ball, while the mom used, well a tray of nachos.
"All you gotta do is check the baseball. If there's cheese on it, it's gone." said the Rangers broadcast crew.
The call on the field was that the ball was in play, a double, but the umpires did in fact do a crew chief review and found it was a home run, which made the score 3-2.
That being said, the Philadelphia fan lost her nachos, but her team won 5-2. There is no update yet, if Seager, who has a $325 million dollar contract, will reimburse the lady.
The Phillies now have the best record in baseball (35-14), while the defending champs, Rangers, sit at second place (24-25) in the AL West division.
