Pirates star pitcher Paul Skenes didn't have his best stuff Tuesday night, and Cubs fans wasted no time dragging his girlfriend, Livvy Dunne, into the mix.

The Pittsburgh ace gave up seven hits and three earned runs in just 3 2/3 innings during a 4-1 loss at PNC Park. One of those runs came on a leadoff homer to Chicago's Michael Busch — and Cubs fans couldn't resist reminding Dunne about it.
The LSU gymnast-turned-social media star had posted a lighthearted TikTok earlier in the week, showing Skenes helping her with her hair and captioning it: "Get yourself a man that does your hair."
Cute, right? Not if you're a Cubs fan with Wi-Fi and a grudge.
"Ask him about the homer Busch hit," one fan chirped in her comments.

Dunne wasn't having it. "You should ask him since you have enough balls to comment that on my acc (sic)," she clapped back.
For what it's worth, Busch has been one of the few hitters to solve Skenes. He's 4-for-7 with a walk against him this season, making the matchup one of the Cubs' quiet advantages.

That history only fueled the trolling — along with some ridiculous and unfounded social media rumors suggesting Busch and Dunne had been messaging, which turned out to be the creation of a parody TMZ account.
Still, that didn't stop the jokes from flying on Tuesday night. Dunne has defended Skenes against internet trolls plenty of times before, and it's safe to say this won't be the last.
Cubs fans, meanwhile, walked away with the win and plenty of meme material.
