10-year MLB veteran Trevor Bauer was once regarded as one of the best pitchers in baseball, even winning a CY Young award during the 2020 "COVID year." Nevertheless, after serving the entirety of his 194-game suspension for violating MLB's Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy, he still remains unsigned.

The question becomes not if he's good enough, as Bauer at 33 years old has proven himself to still be in his prime, playing in the Japan (11-4 record; 2.59 ERA) and Mexico professional baseball leagues.
To note, he had a 10-0 record and 2.48 ERA through 14 starts playing for the Diablos Rojos de Mexico in Mexico City this season.

"There's absolutely 0 belief that my stuff won't succeed in the league," Bauer said. "Every team we talk to says I'd be their 1 or 2 in their rotation."
With all that being said, he still does not find himself on a MLB roster, as according to him, teams have shown interest but the MLB has shut down any opportunities of a comeback story.
"Well one team told us it's not their decision, it's an MLB decision," Bauer wrote on X. "One team told me I was 'too expensive' even though I offered to play for [the] minimum, another team told us they have covered some stuff up in the past that they don't want the media digging into to find out about."

Notably, Bauer last pitched in the MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers during the 2021 season, in which he posted a 2.59 ERA and 1.00 WHIP; then during his career-best 2020 season he had a 1.73 ERA and 0.79 WHIP.
All in all, one would think Bauer would be able to have a second chance, especially considering that he actually never faced criminal charges, as the original accusations that led him to being suspended were made in an attempt to extort money. Furthermore, the woman who accused him of sexual assault has actually been charged with defrauding him.
In the meantime, Bauer will continue his dominance in other countries, maybe hoping to get a shot ahead of the 2025 MLB Spring Training.
Wow Trevor Bauer speaks out.
